The Ultimate Shop Vac Cyclone Dust Collector-
NEVER Have to Clean Your Shop Vac filter Again!

My   shop vac lost 41% of its suction after vacuuming just 10 lbs of dust.
The suction only dropped 2% when using the Dust Sheriff!

  1. NEVER have to clean your filter again?    You won't with a Dust Sheriff cyclone separator.
  2. Captures 5x more fine dust
  3. 30% more  airflow
The Dust Sheriff    is the first and only cyclone separator on the market to incorporate an (optional)   integrated filter inside of the cyclone.      You will   NEVER have to clean a filter again!

If you would like to know more about how cyclone separators work,  check out  the   All About Cyclone Separators  page.

All tests results shown in this article compare the Dust Sheriff to the two most popular shop vac cyclone separators on the market: The   Oneida Dust Deputy   and the   Home   Depot Dustopper.  The Dustopper is a relatively new entry and is based on   Phil Thien's design.   The Dust Sheriff is also a derivative of  Phil Thien's design.

Three major problems that the Dust Sheriff  solves...

Problem #1:     A clogged shop vac filter sucks life out of your already limited shop-time.

Solution:      The Dust Sheriff will  separate and collect the dust without clogging your filter so you can spend more time making and less time cleaning.
All cyclone separators remove a significant percentage of dust, however,   current  cyclone separators pass  4% to 9%  of  all the very fine dust vacuumed.  If you vacuum fine dust very often your filter will clog and the flow rate will continue to drop little by little even with a Dust Deputy or Dustopper.  The drop is gradual so by the time you notice it your vac has lost over half of its suction.

I ran over 40 scientific tests comparing performance of the Dust Sheriff to the leading cyclone separators.     The results of these tests  show that the Dust Sheriff is the best shop vac cyclone separator on the market.

In summary:
  • The Dust  Deputy passes 5x more fine dust than the Dust Sheriff   without the filter installed on the Dust Sheriff    and  over 50x more dust than the Dust Sheriff with the Dust Sheriff filter installed.
  • The  Dustopper passes almost 15x more fine dust than the Dust Sheriff without the filter installed on the Dust Sheriff.

The chart below shows how much better the Dust Sheriff  performs   (with and without the optional filter installed) compared to the Dust Deputy and the Dustopper.

Problem #2:   Cyclone Separators   Reduce Shop Vac Airflow up to 45%!
See the chart below to see how much standard cyclone separators can choke the flow of your vac even with a brand new filter.  Even with a dirty filter installed, the Dust Sheriff flows significantly more air than any other shop vac cyclone separator.

Solution:  The Dust Sheriff allows up to a 29% higher airflow rate (more suction power) than the next best shop vac cyclone separator.

During tests using a 6.5 peak hp Ridgid WD18510 shop vac (A $100 shop vac will work just fine), the Dust Sheriff  (even with a dirty filter) flowed   47% more   air    (CFM) than the Dustopper and   29% more  than the Dust Deputy.     More air flow means you spend more time making, building and fixing and less time cleaning.

Problem #3:      Cyclone separators are not cheap.
A full   Dust Deputy   system costs  $110.  A   Dustopper   costs over $55 with the dust bin.

Solution:   The Dust Sheriff can be made with items many of you already have  lying around your shop.  It costs less than   $15 to make using all new parts.
Plans    are available that include:
  • Build the most effective shop vac cyclone separator on the market for less than $15.
  • Detailed step-by-step instructions to walk you through every detail of the build process.
  • 3D Figures and dimensioned drawings with the exact measurements I used to obtain this high performance level.
  • Advanced  fabrication tips
  • The plans also include a exclusive add-on feature that will keep the filter  cleaner even longer.

An optional     Pro hardware kit     is also available
  • Turn this into no-hassle build that you can have up and running   in as little as one hour.
