1. Cut MDF and melamine strips on a table saw until the particle counts exceed 1 million particles per cubic foot. Anything over 300,000 is very unhealthy. A healthy target is 30,000 and under.
2. Turn on the laser particle counter and the air filtration system then leave the room until the counts drop below 30,000 particles per cubic foot (the threshold for good air quality).
